Once again, the week has escaped me. It seems my blahs were in good company on Twitter. I saw a lot of “feeling down” posts floating around. On my part, I think I’m missing romance – while I have my nesting partner, when we are both feeling down we cannot buoy the other. My other partners are casual and fun, but not going to develop into deeper connections (probably not going to). All of this leads me to seek out romance.
Cara Thereon’s “Gypsy Traveler”
I found myself sucked into this story, and actively disappointed when it ended – Not because it was a bad ending, but because I wanted more. I loved hearing Marie’s interior monologue. Marie is realistic in her doubts about the supernatural events, but not so overwhelmed in doubt that it becomes to the focus. I’m looking forward to seeing more of this story.
Fire and Honey’s “Conflicted”
For a short piece it conveys the conflict so well. The spare language adds to the beauty of this piece. And the ending… swoon.

Molly Moore’s “Knocking Boots”
It’s not just that I envy her those boots… but the composition is wonderful.
Why is February so busy?
I can’t believe I made it to the end of the year! When I started this blog, I wasn’t sure if it would last – or if anyone would read it. I was surprised on both counts.
What I found was an active, engaging, and encouraging community of bloggers. Seriously, these are some of the nicest (and sexiest) people I’ve ever interacted with. Thank you, for welcoming me into your world.
I haven’t had as much time to read, much less write, this week. Final exams get me every time. Nevertheless, here are some fabulous stories and authors for Share Our Shit Saturday.
For this week’s sharing session, I have four wonderful writers lined up.
